Cela Yildiz, a Belgian Turkish character actor, is renowned for his expressive acting style, having made his first foray into the world of acting with a school project in 1997, where he played the iconic role of Don Corleone. Since then, he has worked with numerous international productions for television and film, with his big break coming in 2003 when he collaborated with a real production team.
Throughout his career, Yildiz has had the opportunity to play a wide range of roles, from a police commissioner and an assassin to a Vampire Lord, a refugee, a sports teacher, the Pope, Napoleon, Baron von Löwenherz, and even the real Santa Claus. His impressive repertoire also includes impersonations, having won a look-a-like contest with his rendition of Charlie Chaplin.
In addition to his acting pursuits, Yildiz is a passionate dancer, often taking to the floor to practice his skills in tango Argentino, salsa, bachata, and kizomba. One of his most memorable moments was dancing the waltz for the opening scene of his role as The Beast in the Beauty and the Beast.
As a martial arts enthusiast, Yildiz is trained in Filipino Martial Arts, also known as Eskrima, and is preparing himself for more intense fight scenes in action movies. He is multilingual, speaking English, Dutch, Turkish, German, and French, and is currently learning Italian, Russian, and Chinese.
In his own words, Yildiz sings, "Acting was my first love, and it will be my last, with scenes from the future and scenes from the past!" With his versatility, range, and dedication to his craft, Yildiz is sure to continue captivating audiences for years to come.
In his free time, Yildiz enjoys acting, singing, writing poetry, gardening, and growing his own bonsai trees. He is also an avid sportsman, participating in Eskrima/Kali (Filipino Martial Arts),horseback riding, scuba diving, and other activities.
