Celeste, a talented individual, was born and raised in the city of Joliet, Illinois, where she was the youngest of four children. Her parents, Keith, a former warden of Joliet Correctional Center, and Anitra, a dedicated special education teacher, played a significant role in shaping her early life.
As a former shy athlete, Celeste excelled in various sports, including track and field, basketball, volleyball, and swimming. However, it was her teachers who persuaded her to take up acting, and she eventually discovered her passion for the craft. During her senior year of high school, Celeste skipped track practice to audition for the role of Lucy Van Pelt in "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown," and she was successfully cast.
Celeste's interest in acting led her to pursue higher education in the field. She studied acting at Tennessee State University, followed by DePaul University's The Theatre School, where she received her Master of Fine Arts in Acting in 2012.
Less than a year after completing her graduate studies, Celeste made her professional debut at the renowned Goodman Theatre, playing the iconic role of Juliet in "Measure for Measure." Her impressive performance caught the attention of casting directors, and she soon landed a co-starring role on the popular television series Chicago P.D., which eventually became a recurring character.
Celeste's outstanding talent and dedication to her craft earned her the Most Promising Actress Award from the Black Theatre Alliance Awards in 2014, solidifying her position as a rising star in the entertainment industry.
