Chantal Poullain, a renowned Czech-French actress, was born on August 17, 1956, in Marseille. She embarked on a theatrical journey, studying in Geneva and later in England, where she appeared in several French and Swiss television films.
Poullain's personal life is marked by her marriage to Bolek Polívka, with whom she shares a son, Vladimír Polívka. The family resided in Brno, Czech Republic, before relocating to Prague.
A dedicated philanthropist, Poullain is the founder and president of the Archa Chantal Foundation. Her impressive career spans decades, with notable collaborations with Bolek Polívka on the stage of the Na Provázku Theater in the iconic production Šašek and Queen.
Since 1993, this production has been a staple on the stage of Bolek Polívka Theater. Poullain has also appeared at the Klicper's Theater in Hradec Králové, performing in Romeo and Juliet, Antelope, and Master and Markétka. Her repertoire also includes roles at the Ungelt Theater in Prague, where she starred in Games of Marriage, Six Dance Lessons, At Your Risk!, and Kurtizana.
In 2017, Poullain joined the production The Naked Truth - Revealed Truth, a co-production between Bolek Polívka Theater and StageArtCz. Prior to this, she performed in the Czech Republic with a chanson project, accompanied by saxophonist Štěpán Markovič, from 2010 to 2013.
