Biography of a renowned Brazilian actor:
He started his acting career in amateur theater groups in his hometown, Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, before venturing out to the United States as an exchange student for a year in Texas. Upon his return to Brazil, he settled in Rio de Janeiro, where he pursued his passion for acting by taking free courses at drama schools.
In 1994, he joined the prestigious Actors Laura Theater Company in Rio de Janeiro, led by the esteemed Daniel Herz and Susanna Kruger. During his tenure, he appeared in over ten plays and earned a nomination for the Shell Award, Brazil's most prominent theater award, for his outstanding performance in "The Impostures of Scapin".
In television, he has worked on a variety of projects, including three micro-series directed by Luiz Fernando Carvalho, such as "Hoje é dia de Maria" and "Capitu".
In the film industry, he has appeared in nine feature-length movies, including "Sem Controle", "Chico Xavier - the movie", and "Elite Squad 2", which has been seen by over 11 million spectators in Brazil, a record in the country.
In 2015, he starred in the latest film by renowned director Ruy Guerra, "Quase Memória".
His first solo monologue, "The Eternal Son", released in 2011, earned him four best actor award nominations in Brazil and won two prestigious awards, including the Shell Award and the Best Actor APTR Award.
