Charlotte Austin, a talented actress born in Charlotte, North Carolina, was the daughter of renowned crooner Gene Austin, who was famous for his smooth vocals and penned many popular songs during the 1920s and 1930s.
Charlotte's early life and training led her to a contract with 20th Century-Fox in the early 1950s, where she secured roles in notable films such as How to Marry a Millionaire (1953),Désirée (1954),and Daddy Long Legs (1955).
In addition to her work with 20th Century-Fox, Charlotte co-starred in the musical Rainbow 'Round My Shoulder (1952) on loan from Columbia Pictures. After freelancing and transitioning from musicals to horror films, she perhaps most infamously took on half of the title role in the infamous Edward D. Wood Jr.-scripted The Bride and the Beast (1958).
Following her acting career, Charlotte has successfully pivoted to become a dealer in antiques.
