Chijindu Kelechi Eke was born in Owerri, Nigeria and later moved to the United States to pursue higher education. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems and two Master's degrees, one in Information Technology and another in Business Administration (MBA).
Kelechi is the Writer/Director/Producer for BIGOBI, a multimedia company he founded. He is the creator of biGObi.com, a web portal that showcases his productions and captures various events. He also designed a biGObi iPhone app available for free download at the Apple store.
Despite his technical background, Kelechi has a passion for storytelling and creative arts. In 2011, he decided to venture into filmmaking under biGObi Productions. His first movie, "Lost in Abroad", is a thought-provoking drama about the trials and tribulations of Africans living abroad.
Kelechi has used his movie production company to provide opportunities for talents to showcase their skills on the big screen. His second film, "False Engagement", was released on Valentine's Day in 2013 and won Best Drama Film at the Festival of Arts and Cultural Expo (FACE) in Atlanta, Georgia.
Kelechi's latest feature film, "African Time", is a comedy that addresses the habit of tardiness among many Africans. His recent short film, "Weeping Ashes", won the Best Screenplay at the International Movie Awards in Indonesia.
In his spare time, Kelechi enjoys coaching and playing soccer with the "Africa United Football Club", a club he founded in 1997. He is also the founder and host of "The Black Pot" - a cook show that documents how to make various African cuisines.
Kelechi is the founder and Executive Producer of "Africa Talk Show" in Dallas, Texas. He was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Nigerian-American Multicultural Center (NAMC) on May 3rd, 2014.
