Chris Abaya, a multifaceted filmmaker and videographer hailing from the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, has made a name for himself through his impressive portfolio of short films, including the critically acclaimed "Heartless" and "Shadow Valley".
As a self-taught creative, Chris's journey in film and video production began with a passion for making commercials and capturing life's special moments through wedding videos. His love for the medium was evident, as he confided, "I always loved movies, and just felt like that was where I belonged, where I was really happy - making movies."
When it comes to the art of filmmaking, Chris Abaya is particularly drawn to the trifecta of story, concept, and acting. He even goes as far as to call himself a "closet actor", showcasing his immense respect for the craft. In fact, he has been quoted saying, "To make your job easier as a director, just cast the project right."
Currently, Chris is working on his upcoming indie web series, "The Dark Figure", which is set to debut online in late 2021.
