Chris was born in New Rochelle, New York, to a Cuban mother and an Italian-American father, and his early life was marked by his parents' divorce, which led to him spending the next 15 years living in various locations around the world, including Puerto Rico, California, and Spain.
During his time in Spain, Chris attended the American School of Barcelona and later, David Glasgow Farragut High School in Rota, Spain, where he developed a passion for the performing arts. It was at the age of 15, while living in Marbella, that Chris caught the acting bug, appearing in a production of Neil Simon's "Plaza Suite" with an all-expat British cast.
After relocating to the United States, Chris attended Pace University in New York City and later Bennington College in Vermont, where he majored in Directing and Acting. In New York City, Chris appeared in numerous off-Broadway productions, including The American Place Theatre, The Vietnam Veterans Ensemble, The Public Theatre, The Ohio, Circle Rep, and The Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre.
In 1986, Chris co-founded KOBOCO Theatre Company in NYC, where he served as the Artistic Director. From 1992 to 2001, Chris lived and worked as an actor and director in Seattle, Washington, where he accumulated a vast array of stage credits, including the west coast premiere of John Leguizamo's "Mambo Mouth," which led to performances and directorial efforts at various theaters in the city.
After returning to the east coast, Chris directed the original musicals "The Little Princess" and "Opera Risque." Chris is currently developing an internet character called The Bald Vivant, where he brings his diverse experiences from around the world into the kitchen.
Throughout his career, Chris has demonstrated his versatility as a performer, director, and creator, and has made a significant impact on the world of theater and entertainment.
