Chris Muto was born and raised in upstate New York, where he began his professional modeling career in New York and Milan, working with renowned fashion designers such as Tommy Hilfiger, Prada, and Zegna.
He eventually transitioned to acting, landing his first on-screen role on the popular soap opera Days of Our Lives, opposite the talented Allison Sweeney, in 2005.
Following this, Chris made his stage debut in The Graduate, and then went on to star in the plays Brooklyn USA and Blinded.
In addition to his work in television and film, Chris has also appeared in numerous national commercials, including spots for McDonald's, Walmart, Gateway, Charter Communications, Craftsman, NFL, Cointreau, Direct TV, and Discover Card, which was directed by the acclaimed Peter Berg.
Chris has had the opportunity to work with some of the most respected directors in the industry, including Armand Mastroinni, with whom he has collaborated on several TV movies, and James Remar, with whom he has worked on projects such as Dexter, Sharpshooter, and Decommissioned.
He has also had the privilege of sharing the screen with some of Hollywood's top talent, including Ryan Gosling in the critically acclaimed film Drive.
Chris has recently recurred on the hit ABC drama Grey's Anatomy, playing the role of Nurse Michael, and has been cast again by Shonda Rhimes in the popular drama Scandal.
In addition to his work on Grey's Anatomy and Scandal, Chris has also appeared on the hit soap opera General Hospital, and has landed roles on several other TV shows, including The Get on CBS, Bosch on Amazon, and Reasonable Doubt on Hulu.
Chris is not only an accomplished actor, but also a talented writer and producer, and is currently working on his own pilots and starring in the multi-award winning web series Frank James.
