Chris Wade is a multifaceted individual based in Leeds, with a diverse range of creative pursuits. He is best known for his critically acclaimed music project, DODSON AND FOGG.
In addition to his music endeavors, Chris has collaborated with the late Rik Mayall on an audio recording of his novel, Cutey and the Sofaguard. He has also worked with Nigel Planer under the name Rainsmoke and has written books on music and film.
Furthermore, Chris is the author of the ongoing Hound Dawg Magazine and has written and directed several films, including THE APPLE PICKER, which premiered at the Sydney World Film Festival. His documentary about jazz singing surrealist George Melly was premiered at the Chelsea Arts Club in October 2018 and received several theatrical screenings.
Chris has also made documentaries about Orson Welles and Charlie Chaplin, and has had his articles featured in publications such as Dark Side Magazine and Shindig. He lives with his partner, artist Linzi Napier, and their daughter, Lily, as well as several pets.
Chris started writing full-time in 2009 and has since worked on various projects, including audiobooks with Rik Mayall and comedian Charlie Chuck. He has also written non-fiction and fiction titles regularly and has started his own online arts publication, Hound Dawg Magazine.
In 2012, Chris launched his music project, Dodson and Fogg, which has featured collaborations with notable musicians such as Nik Turner, Nigel Planer, Toyah, Scarlet Rivera, and Celia Humphris. He continues to write books, release music, make experimental films, and work on other projects.
Chris has also conducted Q and As and interviews with a wide range of celebrities, including Sharon Stone, Donovan, Ian Anderson, and Henry Jaglom. His documentaries have focused on a variety of subjects, including Madonna, Bob Dylan, Dennis Hopper, and many others.
