Chris Watson's journey in the film industry began after graduating from Pittsburg State University, where he started working on his first film, Mob Daze, co-writing and producing a comedy featuring Bruce Baum.
The following year, Watson made his directorial debut with the low-budget cult film Zombiegeddon, which he not only wrote and produced but also acted in. The success of this film led to him being tapped to produce several films, including Slaughter Party, Minds of Terror, and Evil Ever After.
In addition to his work as a producer, Watson has also worked on various films by other directors in different capacities, such as casting director, screenwriter, and second unit director. He has even appeared on the hit Showtime series Family Business.
Most recently, Watson completed production on the film Dead in Love, which starred Eric Edwards, Kristin Minter, Tony Todd, and Margaret O'Brien. The film won the audience award at the one film festival it was entered in, beating out nearly 200 other films, and also received the Grand Goldie Award at the Goldie Film Awards.
Chris Watson has also ventured into writing books, co-authoring "Reflections on Blaxploitation" with David Walker and Andrew J. Rausch, "Dwarfsploitation" with Brad Paulson, and "Dirty Talk" again with Rausch, which was released in Spring 2011.
Furthermore, Watson has written for various magazines, including Inside Kung-Fu Magazine, B-Independent, Strictly Splatter, East Side Boxing, and numerous others.
