Christopher John Whitcomb was born in Hartford, Connecticut, to Vanessa Moore, a retired probation officer, and John Whitcomb Jr., a retired judicial marshal. He is a multi-ethnic individual, boasting a rich heritage that includes French, German, Ghanaian, Liberian, British, Irish, and Nigerian roots.
Growing up in the small town of Windsor, Connecticut, Christopher developed a passion for sports, playing baseball and basketball, as well as the performing arts. He showcased his talents in plays at his elementary school and church, and even played drums alongside his father in the church band.
Christopher's academic journey took him to Capital Preparatory High School, where he attended until his junior year before transferring to Manchester High School, graduating in 2014. During his high school years, he continued to pursue his passion for the arts, appearing in plays and musicals, including 'Hello, Dolly!' and 'High School Musical'. He also took acting and improv classes at Hartford Stage.
Following his high school graduation, Christopher went on to pursue a BFA Theatre Performance degree from Central Connecticut State University. However, he decided to leave school to make his film debut in the coming-of-age film Pitching Tents (2017).
As an actor, Christopher has appeared in numerous plays and musicals, including Young Frankenstein (Igor),Tuck Everlasting (Jesse Tuck),and Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog (Billy/Dr. Horrible). He has also performed Shakespearean roles in productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream, Julius Caesar, and Twelfth Night. Christopher regularly collaborates with New Zenith Theatre company, led by Emmy Award-winning producer and director Ed Wierzbicki.
In addition to his acting career, Christopher has also ventured into the music industry, performing under the stage name 'Whitty'. He writes and produces all of his own work and is part of a small Connecticut record label called Small City Music Group, which also owns and operates a commercial recording studio (Small City Studios) in West Hartford, Connecticut.
Christopher has appeared in films such as Burial Ground Massacre (2021) and Damon's Revenge (2022),and is set to appear in the upcoming films Johnny & Clyde (starring Megan Fox and Avan Jogia),Merry Ex-Mas (starring Vanessa Angel and Jason London),and Junction (starring Bryan Greenberg, Sophia Bush, and Jamie Chung).
