Christia is a vibrant and enthusiastic artist, born in the vibrant city of Cape Town and raised in the charming small town of Swellendam. With her captivating personality, she is driven by an insatiable passion to entertain, whether it be through acting, dancing, singing, voice work, or writing. Christia's artistic journey began with three years of theatre training at Stellenbosch High school, where she excelled and won the prestigious award for best actress at the Kleine Libertas theatre schools competition for her outstanding performance as 'Annemie' in 'Poppespel'.
She then pursued her passion for screen acting and completed the two-year Advanced Acting For Film Diploma at Act Cape Town, where she gained valuable experience acting in numerous student films. In addition to her acting training, Christia has also honed her classical voice skills through three years of training with the renowned Koba Wicomb. Her dance training began at the age of 8 and has spanned various styles, including Modern, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Latin-American, and Ballroom.
Since completing her studies at Act Cape Town, Christia has continued to soar to new heights. She has had the privilege of gracing the esteemed Maynardville stage, performing in Shakespeare's Cardenio in the summer of 2012-2013. In 2013 and 2014, she appeared in Nicola Hanekom's award-winning show, 'Land van Skedels', at the KKNK and Aardklop festivals.
Christia is no stranger to the film industry, having starred in numerous national and international productions. She made a significant impact in the Afrikaans film industry, landing the role of Lena Aucamp Jnr in Leon van Nierop's acclaimed film, 'Ballade vir n Enkeling'. She also took on the lead role in Corne van Rooyen's debut film, 'Hollywood in my huis', for which she received the prestigious Silwerskermfees award for Peoples Choice-Best Actress in 2014.
Most recently, Christia has appeared in the Afrikaans TV series, 'Die Boekklub', the feature documentary on the true story of 'Alison' Botha, as well as the highly anticipated feature film, 'Tess'. With her goal-oriented and driven approach, Christia is always ready to take on new projects and thoroughly enjoys every soul-quenching experience to the fullest.
