Christian McDonald is the son of a rural Missouri dentist and a graduate of the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.
As a writer, Christian has made a significant impact in the industry with his recent nuclear war thriller, 'Aftermath', which boasts an impressive cast including Andre Royo, Monica Keena, and Edward Furlong. This gripping film premiered at the esteemed London's Film4 FrightFest and was later released in 2015. Currently, it can be enjoyed on the Chiller Network in North America and Sky Cinema in Europe.
In addition to his work on 'Aftermath', Christian has also ventured into comedy, writing and directing the feature film 'Optimism', which was a finalist for the Wetzel Award For Independent Comedy. This hilarious film had the privilege of being showcased at the Siskel Film Center's "Best in American Comedy" series in Chicago, as well as various festivals across North America and Europe.
Christian's creative talents do not stop there, as he has also penned a sci-fi comedy screenplay titled 'Time-Jerk', which has garnered significant recognition. The screenplay was selected as a semifinalist in the Scriptapalooza Screenwriting Competition and a quarter-finalist in the Final Draft Big Break competition, a testament to Christian's exceptional storytelling abilities.
