Christian Sandstrom was born in the charming city of Vaasa, situated on Finland's west coast, where his passion for the performing arts was evident from an extremely early age. In fact, he wrote his first play at a remarkably young age and began acting as soon as he was able to take his first steps. The early 1990s saw him pursuing his academic interests in theatre and drama at the prestigious institutions in Los Angeles, laying the foundation for his future success.
As he continued to hone his craft, Christian returned to his home country of Finland, where he enrolled in the esteemed Academy of Arts in Helsinki, studying acting at the renowned actors-program. His hard work and dedication paid off, as he was awarded a Master's degree in acting in 2008.
Christian's professional acting career commenced at the tender age of 17, when he made his stage debut as a walk-on in a theatre production directed by the acclaimed Åke Lindman. His breakthrough in television came in the form of a daily drama, created by the talented Peter Emanuel Falck and Christian Wikander.
Throughout his illustrious career, Christian has accumulated an impressive array of movie roles, including the critically acclaimed films Sibelius (2003),Battle for Finland (2007),and Beyond the Front Line (2004). He has also had the privilege of collaborating with notable directors such as Alexandre Miguel on the film Die Frau vom Checkpoint Charlie (2007) and Dome Karukoski, known for his work on the 2019 film Tolkien.
One of his most notable roles was as an FBI agent in the 2009 film Farewell, where he shared the screen with the talented Diane Kruger. Christian's latest film credits include a collaboration with director Dome Karukoski, further solidifying his position as a respected and accomplished actor in the industry.
