Christie Lynn is a versatile actress known for her natural beauty and strong emotional depth. She has been called a chameleon due to her ability to morph from one character to another. With over forty television series and a wonderful collection of films under her belt, Christie has proven herself to be equally adept at drama and comedy.
Christie grew up in Orange Park, Florida, where she developed a love for acting at a young age. She would pretend to be Olivia Newton-John from the film Grease and act out scenes with her neighborhood friends. Christie earned her Screen Actors Guild card right out of high school and quickly landed guest spots on television shows such as Super Force and Swamp Thing.
She moved to Hollywood to pursue her acting career, taking acting classes with renowned coaches such as Cameron Thor, Howard Fine, and Uta Hagen. Christie's hard work paid off, and she was soon snapped up to star in the soap opera Forever, which took her on location to film in Mexico City for a year.
Christie's television credits include guest-starring roles on hit shows such as Beverly Hills, 90210, 7th Heaven, and Charmed, as well as recurring roles on Bones, Malcolm in the Middle, General Hospital, and Days of Our Lives. She has also appeared on shows such as Justified, Chase, Castle, Boston Legal, House, Three Rivers, Saving Grace, ER, Las Vegas, Monk, Without a Trace, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
Christie's film career began with a bang in 2001, when she was hand-picked by prestigious casting directors for the lead role in the comedy What Boys Like. She followed that film with the role of Catherine Carter Corbin in Ted Turner's Civil War epic Gods and Generals, starring Robert Duvall, Stephen Lang, and Jeff Daniels.
Other film roles include the thriller The Last Stop Cafe, for which she was nominated for Best Actress at the Eerie Horror Film Festival, and the dark psychological drama Inside Irvin, in which she received rave reviews. Christie also starred in the award-winning short film Grace, as one of only two characters, and received a Leading Actor Accolade film award and a Best Actress nomination from the Method Fest film festival.
In 2008, Christie gave birth to her daughter, Abby Ryder, and took some time off to spend with her new baby and husband, actor John Fortson. She booked two films back to back, the lead role of May Keifner in the feature Ticket Out, and the role of Deardra Farnum in the remake of the classic George A. Romero film The Crazies.
When Christie is not acting, she loves spending time with her family, practicing yoga, hiking, traveling, surfing, cooking, having afternoon tea, and playing gin rummy with her husband.
