Christina was born in the vibrant city of Bangalore, India, a place that would later shape her academic and artistic pursuits. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree in Medieval History with Distinction, an impressive achievement that earned her Magna Cum Laude honors, from Yale University, a prestigious institution renowned for its academic excellence.
Christina's thirst for knowledge and passion for learning led her to further her education at the Universite de Paris, Sorbonne, where she immersed herself in a new cultural environment and expanded her intellectual horizons.
However, Christina's academic pursuits were not destined to be her only focus. She left the academic world to pursue her dream of becoming an actress, enrolling in acting classes with the renowned Anna Deavere Smith at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco.
Her hard work and dedication paid off when she was accepted into the prestigious Drama Division of The Juilliard School, a feat that solidified her position as a talented and ambitious young artist.
After graduating from Juilliard, Christina continued to hone her craft, acting extensively in regional theatre productions, including the esteemed Williamstown Theatre Festival in Massachusetts, the Asolo Center in Florida, and Syracuse Stage in New York, among others.
She also made her off-Broadway debut with The New Group in the production of Halfway Home.
Christina's impressive acting resume includes her portrayal of the role of "C" in the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Three Tall Women, written by Edward Albee. She performed this role both off-Broadway and on the national tour with esteemed actresses Marian Seldes and Michael Learned.
In the fall of 2001, Christina tied the knot with actor Matthew Greer, who had previously appeared in the Broadway production of Cabaret. The newlyweds celebrated their brief honeymoon in England before Christina headed to Virginia to begin filming Richard Squires's film Goose Creek Story, alongside a talented cast that included Roger Rees, Mary McDonnell, and Paul Fitzgerald.
