In 1992, Christine graduated with an associated diploma of dance, a significant milestone in her career.
Following her graduation from NAISDA, Christine embarked on a professional journey, performing with renowned companies such as Bangarra Dance Theatre and the Aboriginal and Island Dance Theatre. Her impressive performances in Australia and overseas garnered widespread recognition, setting the stage for future success.
In 1996, Christine's exceptional talent was acknowledged with two prestigious awards: best female artist at the Australasian Recording Industry Awards (ARIAs) and best female artist at the Deadly Sounds National Aboriginal & Islander Music Awards. This recognition solidified her position as a leading figure in the entertainment industry.
In the late 1990s, Christine's remarkable talent continued to shine, with starring roles in the musical productions Little Shop Of Horrors (1997) and Rent (1998/99). Her captivating performance as Mimi in Rent received widespread critical acclaim, earning her an invitation to perform the role on Broadway. Although she had to decline this opportunity due to commitments on her next album, Christine's impressive work continued to pave the way for her future endeavors.
