Christine Pelisek is a renowned journalist with a distinguished career spanning almost 15 years, having dedicated herself to the pursuit of justice and the uncovering of truth through her work as a senior writer for People Magazine. Prior to her tenure at People Magazine, Pelisek honed her skills as a journalist at Newsweek/Daily Beast and LA Weekly, where she demonstrated her unwavering commitment to investigative journalism.
In 2008, while at LA Weekly, Pelisek made headlines by breaking the story of a serial killer who had been responsible for the murder of women in South Los Angeles for decades, and whose killing spree had resumed in 2007. Her groundbreaking work on this case earned her a Finalist Prize (Tom Renner Award) from Investigative Reporters and Editors, Inc. in 2009, as well as first place in the Investigative Series Category at the 2009 Southern California Journalism Awards.
