Christine Sclafani, a third-generation Italian American, was born in the Italian section of Paterson, New Jersey, to Italian American parents Lorene and Frank Sclafani. Her great-grandparents immigrated from Palermo, Italy to Ellis Island, New York. Christine has a sister, Janene, with whom she holds dual citizenship in Italy and the USA.
Christine's childhood was marked by her parents' divorce when she was nine years old. She found solace in roller skating and joined the neighborhood roller rink's "speed team," where she honed her skills and forged meaningful friendships. This period had a profound impact on her life, helping her discover her identity and values.
Christine juggled multiple jobs during high school, realizing she didn't want to pursue a traditional college education and 9-to-5 career. She recognized her artistic and creative talents and attended Sheridan Vocational, where she earned a cosmetology license. Simultaneously, she began modeling for swimwear, lingerie, and sportswear companies in Miami, Florida, and competed in several beauty pageants, including "Hawaiian Tropic" and "Venus" swimsuit competitions.
Christine's modeling career took off, with appearances in numerous magazines, including Playboy, Harley Davidson, and Swimwear Illustrated. She also appeared as a "featured extra" in the movie "Birdcage," which starred Robin Williams and Nathan Lane, and sparked her interest in acting. With her newfound passion, she moved to New York City to study dance and theater.
In addition to acting studies, Christine trained in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kenpo, Muay Thai, Taekwondo, and Kickboxing, earning her first-degree black belt. She later joined an acting group that brought her to Los Angeles, where she performed in a showcase in front of agents and managers. To hone her craft, Christine has studied with renowned acting coaches, including Howard Fine, Lesly Kahn, and Sandy Marshall, and attended the Upright Citizens Brigade for Improv.
As a professional model, actress, host, and spokesperson, Christine has a natural affinity for the camera. Her passions extend beyond acting to roller skating, MMA, drums, photography, cinematography, directing, and filmmaking. Christine is a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild/AFTRA and Women in Film.
