Biography

Born in the northern regions of France, a young individual with a profound fascination for the world of cinema. This passion was ignited at the tender age of ten, upon discovering the masterpiece "North by North West" by the renowned filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock. This encounter sparked a lifelong interest in the art of staging, the fundamental building block of the cinematic language.

As a self-taught cinephile, he delved deep into the works of other visionary directors, including Fritz Lang, Michelangelo Antonioni, Raoul Walsh, Howard Hawks, Sam Peckinpah, Jean Renoir, Martin Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppola, Brian De Palma, and Jacques Tourneur, to name a few.

The year 1999 marked the beginning of his filmmaking journey, as he directed his first movie, "Love Dance," which was subsequently showcased at the Pathe film theater. This experience inspired him to establish his own production company, "Black Wood Films." Over the years, he wrote, directed, and produced numerous short films within this framework.

In 2008, he took the leap by directing his first feature film, "Cell 66." Two years later, he had the opportunity to learn from the renowned filmmaker Luc Besson in his workshop, further expanding his knowledge of the film industry.

Since 2011, his path has been intertwined with the Indian film industry, leading to collaborations with prominent Indian stars. In 2011, he directed the renowned Indian movie star Himesh Reshammiya for a project inspired by the passing of Michael Jackson, "A Star is Killed." The two reunited three years later for his new film "The Xposé," where he served as a line producer.

Two years later, he directed another film, "Hexing," which was shot on location in Ireland, France, and India. The movie starred Dominique Swain, known for her role in the remake of Stanley Kubrick's "Lolita," and was produced by Vivek Singhania of Picture Perfect Films.

In 2018, he is currently working on a new project, "Dark Lens," in collaboration with his own production company, BlackCam, and Picture Perfect.
