Christopher graduated with a BA Honours First and the Paul McCartney Award from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) in 2002. He then headed to London, where he honed his skills in Fringe Theatre and landed his first professional theatre job in Phyllida Lloyd's 2006 award-winning production of Mary Stuart at the Donmar Warehouse in the West End.
As an actor, Christopher's career soon shifted towards the screen, with a focus on the British Film Industry. He has since appeared in numerous features and short films, showcasing his versatility and range.
In 2009, Christopher's Scandinavian heritage added depth to his lead role as Arathorn, the father of Aragorn, in the independent Lord of the Rings prequel Born of Hope. The film has garnered over 55 million online views and a four-star review from The Guardian.
Christopher's acting talents have been recognized with several awards, including the Best Actor Award at the London Independent Film Festival for his portrayal of John Foster in the British comedy drama Being Sold. He has also won multiple awards for the online series Ren - The Girl With the Mark, which he co-created with director Kate Madison.
In addition to his film work, Christopher made his television debut in 2013 with a guest appearance in the opening episode of the hit BBC drama series Call the Midwife, which drew in over 10 million viewers. He has since appeared in a range of popular shows, including Doctor Who, The Bridge, EastEnders, Doctors, The Halcyon, Home, and Annika.
As a produced writer, Christopher made his debut in 2015 with the film Four Warriors, which was sold worldwide and distributed by Grindhouse (US) and Metrodome (UK).
