Born and raised in a small rural town in West Virginia, Cindy has developed into a skilled and accomplished character actor, effortlessly taking on authority roles with a natural air of confidence. Her extensive range of experience has led to her being cast in a variety of roles, often donning uniforms as Law Enforcement or Emergency Medical Services personnel types.
However, Cindy's impressive acting skills allow her to transcend the limitations of typecasting, as she has had the opportunity to perform in challenging stage roles with both professional and academic companies. She has also appeared in sitcoms, such as the popular "Downward Dog".
Cindy's most recent work has seen her take on co-starring roles in TV shows like "For All Mankind", "Power Book 3 - Raising Kanan", "Servant", "Swagger", "Gone", "Outsiders", "Downward Dog", "Mindhunter", and in films like "A Man Called Otto", "Audrey's Children", and "Concussion". In addition, she has appeared in supporting roles in shorts, including the internet sensation "Muck" and the mockumentary-style independent feature "The Race". Cindy has also recently performed as a Guest Artist for the Davis and Elkins College production of "The Giver", taking on the role of the Chief Elder.
Beyond her impressive acting career, Cindy is a skilled trumpet player, having performed with the World Champion Star of Indiana Drum & Bugle Corps. She later went on to tour with Brass Theatreafter, Star left the DCI to pursue a more theatrical style of work.
Trained as a serious actor, Cindy has discovered that she has a natural affinity for comedy, finding it easier to connect with audiences through her comedic roles. Throughout her career, she has performed as a sketch comedian, stand-up comic, and improv actor, studying at renowned institutions such as The Second City and Upright Citizens Brigade.
