Pontius Pilate, Harry S. Truman, Tennessee Williams, and numerous other legendary figures have been brought back to life on stage, screen, and television by the multi-talented Circus-Szalewski.
Upon arriving in Chicago shortly before the fall of the Berlin Wall, Circus-Szalewski began to make a name for himself by performing and/or understudying with several of the city's most innovative companies, including TrapDoor, lookingglass, Chicago Dramatists, Torso, the Next, and Bailiwick. Additionally, he spent a season interning with Indiana Repertory Theater and toured Romania in 2007 with a production of Old Clown Wanted by Matei Visniec.
Circus-Szalewski's impressive range and versatility have led to feature film roles that showcase his ability to portray a wide array of characters, including an aging punk cave-diver, militant computer-hacker, foppish jeweler, disgraced police officer, FBI director, corporate villain, oddball janitor, backwoods good ol' boy, surfer turned inventor, small town sheriff or deputy, and assorted thugs and slimeballs.
Television credits include over two dozen sketch performances on CONAN and JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE!, several appearances on SIX DEGREES OF EVERYTHING, and numerous segments on TIM AND ERIC AWESOME SHOW, GREAT JOB! Circus-Szalewski has also lent his voice to a couple of characters in the Hallmark animated special HOOPS AND YOYO RUIN CHRISTMAS.
