Biography

C.J. Laing, born Wendy Miller on August 1, 1956, in the bustling metropolis of New York City, embarked on a journey that would take her to the forefront of the adult cinema industry. Her initial foray into the world of pornography occurred while residing in San Francisco, where she starred in a series of loops titled "Juke Joint," courtesy of the renowned Mitchell Brothers, who had previously gained fame with their iconic film "Behind the Green Door" in 1972.

Following her return to New York, Laing made her debut in a theatrical adult feature in 1975, still in her late teenage years. Over the course of a brief yet remarkable five-year career, she went on to appear in an astonishing 50 adult films and loops. Her roles often found her cast as the victim, subjected to brutal and graphic sexual violence in films such as "Sex Wish" (1976) and "The Taking of Christina" (1976).

Despite the brevity of her career, Laing's impact on the industry was profound, earning her induction into the X-Rated Critics Organization Hall of Fame as a pioneering figure in the world of adult cinema. In 2005, she was further honored with a spot in the AVN Hall of Fame, a testament to her remarkable contributions to the "Golden Age of Porn."
