Claire Lovering is an accomplished Australian actress and writer, born and raised in Fremantle, Western Australia, and a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.
Claire's professional career began in theatre, where she performed in various productions for major Australian Theatre Companies, including Sydney Theatre Company, Melbourne Theatre Company, Queensland Theatre Company, Griffin Theatre, Ensemble Theatre, and Black Swan State Theatre Company.
In 2014, Claire wrote and starred in her one-woman show 'River', which had sold-out seasons across Australia. Her performance won her the 2015 ANZ Blue Room Series Theatre Award for Spectrum Now Festival. The following year, she was a recipient of the prestigious Mike Walsh Fellowship and traveled to New York to study Method Acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.
Claire's outstanding performance in 'The Feather in the Web' for Griffin Theatre Company earned her the Sydney Theatre Award for Best Female Actor in a Leading Role in a Main Stage Production in 2018.
Since then, Claire has worked extensively in film and television internationally, including the lead role of Gert in the AACTA-nominated comedy series 'Gold Diggers' for ABC/CBS and the Amazon original high-concept comedy series 'Class of '07', for which she received an Equity Award Nomination for Best Comedy Ensemble.
Claire recently completed filming in the highly anticipated American crime thriller film 'Play Dirty', directed by Shane Black, and starring Mark Wahlberg. She can also be seen in the Paramount+ Original crime thriller series 'North Shore', the Stan series 'C*A*U*G*H*T' starring Sean Penn, as well as the second season of the ABC series 'The PM's Daughter', Celeste Barber's hit Netflix show 'Wellmania', and the popular Peacock/Stan series 'Wolf Like Me' opposite Josh Gad and Isla Fisher.
As a prolific voice-over artist, Claire frequently lends her voice to global campaigns for brands such as Airbnb, Youi, Google, Optus, Dropbox, and QANTAS. Her recent audiobook narrations include Isobel Beech's debut novel 'Sunbathing' and 'A Recipe for Family' by Tori Haschka.
