Clark Spencer, a native of Seattle, Washington, relocated to Massachusetts to pursue his academic endeavors at Harvard University. Upon graduating from Harvard in 1985 with a degree in history, he commenced his professional career with Bankers Trust Company on Wall Street. His academic pursuits continued as he earned his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1990.
Subsequently, Spencer joined the Walt Disney Studios, where he was employed as a senior business planner. He steadily advanced within the Disney organization, and played a pivotal role in the acquisition of Miramax Films.
In 1993, Spencer transitioned to Disney Feature Animation, assuming the role of director of planning. His career trajectory continued to ascend, and by 1996, he had become the senior vice president of finance and operations for the department.
In 1998, Spencer relocated to the Florida animation studio, where he spearheaded the production of his inaugural film, Lilo & Stitch, which premiered in 2002.
