Christopher Clayton Boyd, born on August 31, 1982, in Cape Town, South Africa, to parents Ann and Howard Boyd, was christened with his given name. At the tender age of 13, his family relocated to Antwerp, Belgium, due to business commitments, marking a significant turning point in his life.
For four and a half years, Clayton attended the Antwerp International School, laying the foundation for his future endeavors. He then made the bold decision to move to America to pursue his passion for acting, which ultimately led him to achieve a double major Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Theatre from San Diego State University.
Furthering his education, Clayton moved to the University of Alabama and the Alabama Shakespeare Festival to earn his Master's degree. His academic journey culminated in 2006, when he received his Master of Fine Arts in Theatre, a testament to his dedication and perseverance.
Following a year in New York, Clayton returned to his hometown of South Africa, where he spent five years honing his craft in Cape Town. In 2012, he made the move to Johannesburg, where he continues to work and act to this day (2022).
When not gracing the stage or screen, Clayton is busy running Dolci Café alongside his wife, Jacqueline, a venture that showcases his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to his personal life.
