Biography

Clive McLean, a distinguished and accomplished individual, embarked on a multifaceted career trajectory, initially venturing into the realm of band management, where he had the privilege of working alongside the illustrious musician Cat Stevens. Simultaneously, he pursued a parallel profession in the fashion industry, where his acquaintance James Baes, the respected and esteemed head photographer of Germany's renowned STERN magazine, took notice of his exceptional talent and recommended him to the prominent and influential Larry Flynt, the visionary figurehead behind the iconic and provocative adult entertainment publication, Hustler, in the year 1975.

McLean's affiliation with Hustler, a pivotal moment in his professional trajectory, swiftly elevated him to the position of lead photographer for the renowned publication. This opportune development laid the groundwork for a series of creative endeavors that would significantly impact his career. In the year 1999, McLean embarked on a new direction, assuming the role of director for the burgeoning Hustler Video line.

His inaugural foray into video production was inspired by the resounding success of his magazine series, Barely Legal, which centered around captivating new adult models. This innovative concept, initially conceived for the print medium, was successfully adapted to the video format, yielding a line that would eventually become the most popular and best-selling offerings within the adult entertainment industry.

Clive McLean's existence was tragically abbreviated due to a devastating diagnosis of Stage 4 cancer, which initially led medical professionals to predict a dismal prognosis of merely two months to live.
