Connor Paolo was born in the vibrant city of New York, situated in the state of New York. In 2006, he embarked on a journey to hone his craft at the professional performing arts school featured in the iconic film Fame. Prior to this, he began taking acting classes at the renowned Lee Strasberg Theater Institute.
Paolo's acting career commenced at the tender age of nine, with his debut television appearance on the esteemed soap opera All My Children, which premiered in 1970. In 2002, he played the complex and troubled character of Zachary Connor, a preteen murderer-rapist, in an episode of the critically acclaimed Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, which debuted in 1999. His motion picture debut was in 2003, with a role in Clint Eastwood's Oscar-nominated film Mystic River, playing the character of Young Sean.
In 2004, Paolo secured a recurring role in the long-running daytime soap opera One Life to Live, which premiered in 1968, playing the character of Travis O'Connell. He also appeared in the motion picture Alexander, released in 2004, portraying the character of Young Alexander. Paolo made a second appearance on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in 2006, playing the role of Teddy Winnock, a disturbed teenager, in an episode inspired by the real-life case of Justin Berry.
Paolo's latest motion picture role was Steven McLoughlin in the critically acclaimed film World Trade Center, directed by Oliver Stone and released in 2006. He has also starred in two other films scheduled for release in 2007: Warren Hardesty in Snow Angels, directed by David Gordon Green, and Ross Embry in Favorite Son, marking his first leading role in a movie.
In addition to his work in film and television, Paolo has a strong background in theatre and commercials. He has appeared on the Broadway stage in the hit musical The Full Monty and off-Broadway in the New York public theater production of Shakespeare's Richard III. Paolo also played the role of Bottom in an abridged production of Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream.
