Giannaris's first Greek film, "Mia Thesi Ston Helio" (1995),made a significant impact, winning the prestigious Best Greek Film Award at the Short Film Festival of Drama in Greece.
In the same year, he released "3 Steps To Heaven", a film that garnered widespread attention. Two years later, in 1998, his film "From the Edge of Town" received the second Best Film Award from the Greek Ministry of Culture.
