Corneliu Ulici was born in the charming city of Baia-Mare, located in the heart of Romania. He went on to pursue his passion for the performing arts by graduating from the esteemed National University of Theatre and Film "I.L. Caragiale", with a specialization in Acting.
Throughout his illustrious career, Corneliu has had the privilege of appearing in numerous stage productions, including the captivating plays "Biloxi Blues" and "Almost Maine", both of which were expertly directed by Mircea Rusu and Andreea Vulpe, respectively. He has also had the opportunity to shine in several short films, such as the thought-provoking "Hello, Kitty" and the historical drama "237 years", both of which were directed by the talented Millo Simulov and Ioana Mischie, respectively.
Corneliu's early foray into the world of film was in 2005, when he served as a production assistant on Francis Ford Coppola's critically acclaimed "Youth Without Youth". This experience laid the foundation for his future success, and in 2011, he took on the lead role in the poignant drama "Something Good Out of Life", directed by the renowned Dan Pita.
This performance earned Corneliu widespread recognition, as he took home awards at the AVANCA - Portugal, The Romanian Film National Festival, and The Romanian Filmmakers Union, in addition to being nominated for best debut at the Gopo (Romanian Film Industry) Awards in 2012.
Since then, Corneliu has continued to make a name for himself in the film industry, appearing in a wide range of Romanian and foreign productions, including the critically acclaimed "The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman", "Closer to the Moon", "Kyra Kyralina", "6,9 on the Richter Scale", and "What about love?", as well as the chilling horror film "The Crucifixion", where he played the pivotal role of Father Anton.
In addition to his work in film, Corneliu made his television debut in the HBO series "The Silent Valley" in 2016, further solidifying his status as a talented and versatile actor.
