Courtney Hogan, a talented actress, began to gain recognition in the film industry after replacing Robin Anne Phipps in The Mandala Maker. Prior to this, she had already impressed Director-Producer Sam Borowski with her performance in the horror film The Feeding.
Classically trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City, Hogan returned to her native Georgia in 2002. Her early career was marked by a string of independent film appearances, starting with The Feeding in 2004, where she met actor Robert Pralgo.
Pralgo and Director Kely McClung soon cast Hogan in their action feature Blood Ties, and she went on to appear in the horror film Zombie Invasion in 2006. Hogan also played a lead role in Keepsake, which screened at Screamfest in Los Angeles in October 2008.
McClung brought Hogan back for his feature film Kerberos, filmed in Atlanta in 2008, and she co-starred with Pralgo in Harvest Moon, which won Best Horror-Comedy at Dragon Con in 2008. Hogan has also appeared in various shorts produced by the Florida State Film Program, many of which have qualified for Academy Awards.
In recent years, Hogan has given a convincing performance in Exhibit A-7, leaving many to wonder if she is still alive. Her rising star on the indie scene proves that she is, and her talent and dedication to her craft have earned her a reputation as a popular player in the independent film world.
