Born in Hammond, Indiana, Carlisle's passion for the performing arts led him to pursue higher education in theater/acting at Indiana State University and Dramatic Writing at the esteemed New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
In addition to his academic achievements, Carlisle has been an integral part of the entertainment industry, serving as the first regular curator and host of the long-running Tuesdays @ 9 reading series for the renowned Naked Angels theater company, a position he still holds in both New York City and Los Angeles.
