With a solid foundation in design acquired from the esteemed Universidad Católica de Chile, León's artistic journey took a significant turn in 2007 when he secured a grant from the prestigious DAAD, allowing him to pursue a one-year program at Berlin's renowned UdK in 2009.
As his artistic trajectory continued to unfold, León became a participant artist at the prestigious 'The Ateliers' in Amsterdam in 2011, further solidifying his reputation as a talented and innovative artist.
Interestingly, León is also the sibling of Alejandro León, a skilled architect who occasionally ventures into the realm of art, showcasing the strong creative bond that exists within the León family.
Joaquín Cociña, a talented Chilean artist and filmmaker, was born on March 18, 1980, to Loreto Varas and Carlos Cociña. He pursued his academic endeavors by enrolling in a bachelor's degree program in fine arts at the prestigious Universidad Católica de Chile.
