Cynthia Evans' journey in the world of acting began at the tender age of 15, when she took to the stage for her first school play, sparking a lifelong passion for the art form. She subsequently pursued a dual degree in music and theatre at Furman University, before transferring to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in pursuit of a larger scholarship. Upon earning her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from UAB, Evans relocated to New York City to hone her craft at the renowned William Esper Studio, where she studied the esteemed Sanford Meisner Acting technique. Following her graduation from the esteemed institution, Evans returned to her hometown to care for her ailing grandfather, only to find herself drawn to the thriving film industry in Atlanta, Georgia.
As a talented actress, Evans has built a successful career in Atlanta, boasting an impressive repertoire of over hundreds of film, television, theatrical, commercial, and industrial productions. Her upcoming projects include starring in the Lifetime original movie "Killer Night Watch", set to premiere on August 25, as well as wrapping up a supporting lead role in the feature film "Five Feet Apart", slated for a March 2019 release. Moreover, Evans has played leading and supporting roles in numerous independent films.
When not treading the boards or working on screen, Evans dedicates her time to supporting causes that are close to her heart, including environmental conservation, helping those in need, and ensuring the safety of children in school and beyond. Evans is married to her husband, Michael Scialabba, and they share a 9-year-old son, Corin Evans Scialabba, who is also an actor. Notably, Evans considers her role as a mother to be her most cherished and fulfilling role of all.
