Cynthia Jeanette Myers, a stunning 5'3" brunette beauty, was born on September 12, 1950, in Toledo, Ohio. Raised by her mother Mary, grandparents, and various aunts and uncles after her father's untimely death in a car accident when she was just four years old, Cynthia had a close-knit family with two siblings, sister Tana and brother Lance. She was an accomplished competitive horseback rider and worked part-time as a theater usher during her formative years.
Cynthia's early modeling career began at the age of 14, and by 1967, she was modeling for Detroit auto shows. She graduated from Woodward High School in 1968 and went on to become the Playmate of the Month for the December 1968 issue of Playboy. Her television appearances included regular stints on the TV series Playboy After Dark (1969) and uncredited roles in The Lost Continent (1968) and They Shoot Horses, Don't They? (1969).
However, it was her iconic role as Casey Anderson in Russ Meyer's cult classic Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (1970) that cemented her enduring popularity in the world of cult cinema. Her other notable film appearance was as the sassy and sexy prostitute Dolly Winwood in the offbeat Western Molly and Lawless John (1972).
In addition to her film and television work, Cynthia continued to model, appearing as "Miss Earthquake" in magazine print ads for Cerwin-Vega stereo equipment in the early 1970s. She lived in both Las Vegas and Southern California, and was a beloved figure at autograph conventions across the country. Myers was also a devoted mother to her son and was voted #10 in a poll for Playboy Playmates of the Century in 2000.
Sadly, Cynthia Jeanette Myers passed away on November 4, 2011, at the age of 61, due to complications from lung cancer. Despite her untimely passing, her legacy as a beautiful and talented Playmate of the Month continues to be celebrated by fans of classic cinema and Playboy magazine.
