Biography

Kathleen Hetzekian, later known as Cyrinda Foxe, was born into a tumultuous household, marked by abuse. She left home before completing her high school education and began a new life in Texas before eventually settling in New York City.

As a young adult, Cyrinda transformed her identity by changing her name to Cyrinda Foxe and immersed herself in the vibrant nightlife scene of 1970s New York, frequenting the iconic nightclub Max's Kansas City. Concurrently, she pursued a career in acting, securing a notable role in Andy Warhol's 1977 film, Bad.

Cyrinda's personal life was equally as captivating, as she became entangled in a romantic affair with the legendary David Bowie, resulting in an abortion. Her passion for the Rolling Stones led her to become involved with the New York Dolls, a glam-rock band often likened to the Stones.

In 1977, Cyrinda married David Johansen, the frontman of the New York Dolls, and at the time, the band shared the same management as Aerosmith. During her marriage to David, Cyrinda crossed paths with Aerosmith's lead singer, Steven Tyler, and the two eventually began a romantic relationship.

After less than a year of marriage to David, Cyrinda left him for Steven, and the two ultimately tied the knot, having a daughter named Mia Tyler. However, their marriage was marred by the couple's struggles with drug addiction, infidelity, and physical and emotional abuse, ultimately leading to their divorce shortly before Aerosmith's comeback in the late 1980s.

In 1997, Cyrinda published her tell-all memoir, "Dream On", which received a mixed reaction from Aerosmith fans, with many criticizing the book. In an attempt to generate further publicity, Cyrinda announced that the paperback edition of "Dream On" would feature nude photos of Steven, but in 1999, Steven successfully sued Cyrinda to prevent the publication of these images.

Undeterred, Cyrinda launched a website in 2000, where she sold nude pictures of Steven, but the site was shut down later that year for undisclosed reasons. In 2001, Cyrinda suffered a stroke that left her partially paralyzed, and she eventually succumbed to a brain tumor.
