Dacio Caballero was born in Gran Canaria, Spain, where he began training in gymnastics and various forms of martial arts from a very early age. By the time he was 14, he had made up his mind that he wanted to become a movie stuntman, and he started training and working on Spanish TV shows while continuing his education.
As he grew older, Dacio started working at Terra Mítica Benidorm in Spain, a theme park that provided him with valuable experience and skills in handling weapons and performing high-falls. After his time at the theme park, he moved to Madrid to pursue a career in film, landing jobs on set that involved fights, horses, air rams, and jerk backs, among other things.
Dacio's career quickly took off, and he was soon chosen to be the double for the two main actors in the popular Spanish TV series Hispania, la Leyenda and Tierra de Lobos. This opportunity opened doors to the world of movie stunts, and he began working on international films, including projects with actors like Jason Statham, Gal Gadot, Liam Neeson, John Cusack, Elijah Wood, and Édgar Ramírez.
One of the highlights of his career was his role in The Gunman, where he performed an action character alongside Sean Penn in London. This led to his official move to London and his membership in the British Stunt Register, which enabled him to participate in the production of King Arthur, where he worked alongside Charlie Hunnam.
Dacio's work on King Arthur earned him recommendations for other prominent projects, including Game of Thrones, where he performed various stunts and doubled for the character Dario Naharis. He also played an Assassin wielding a double sword in Assassins Creed and was a stunt-performer in Star Wars: Rogue One, where he doubled for Diego Luna in the reshoots.
