Born in the vibrant city of Kingston, Jamaica, Damian Thompson's journey as a performer began early in life, captivating his family with his impressive dancing skills at every gathering and reciting his favorite TV shows with ease. As he transitioned to Miami, Florida, his unique accent became a focus of attention in speech classes, where he unexpectedly developed a chronic stuttering issue.
However, it was during seventh grade that a turning point occurred. After delivering Martin Luther King's iconic "I Have a Dream" speech flawlessly without any stuttering, his teacher, Charlette Seward, sensed an opportunity to help him overcome his speech impediment. She encouraged Damian to audition for the performing arts magnet at his middle school, believing that the creative outlet would aid in his stuttering control.
The experience had a profound impact on Damian, igniting a passion for acting that has remained unrelenting ever since. He went on to earn a Master of Fine Arts degree in classical acting from the University of Delaware's Professional Theatre Training Program and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in acting from the University of Evansville.
When not honing his craft, Damian indulges in his love of writing, modeling, and exploring new destinations.
