Twin brothers Damiano and Fabio D'Innocenzo embarked on a creative journey, fueled by their ardor for painting, photography, and poetry, and, without any formal cinematic training, took their initial steps in the world of filmmaking by crafting video clips, penning scripts, and staging theatrical productions.
Fast-forward to 2018, the duo debuted as feature film directors with "Boys Cry" (La terra dell'abbastanza),which premiered in the esteemed "Panorama" section of the 68th Berlin International Film Festival, garnering significant attention from both critics and audiences. The film's subsequent success was marked by numerous national and international accolades, including the prestigious Nastro d'Argento award for Best New Director.
Their sophomore effort, "Bad Tales" (Favolacce),was subsequently selected for competition at the 70th Berlin International Film Festival, where it earned the Silver Bear award for Best Screenplay, solidifying the twins' burgeoning reputation as talented and innovative filmmakers.
