Dan, an international actor and film producer, hails from a military and Royal Canadian Mounted Police background, but has shifted his focus to acting and film production. Born in Edmonton, Alberta, to Yvonne Sutton, a social worker, and Eric Fayant, Dan is of Native Cree Tribe of Canada and English & European descent.
He grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia, where he attended Lord Selkirk Elementary School, Port Moody Elementary School, and Port Moody Senior Secondary School. During his senior year, he was awarded Athlete of the Year for playing football and winning three gold medals in the Provincial Championships and BC Winter Games.
Dan's entry into acting came while attending Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia. He later pursued a career in the military and then with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, where he acted part-time in various commercials, TV series, and feature films, and also took on background roles and voice acting.
Dan has taken numerous training workshops and courses, and was an acting student of the Hollywood Director, Tom Logan, DGA. While working with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, he co-produced and created the TV documentary "Behind the Badge-Working in Aboriginal Communities," which aired nationally on CBC and was distributed across Canada to every RCMP detachment.
Dan's early roles include parts in German TV series "Weltenbummler" and Canadian TV series "Blackstone." He then appeared in Isaac Thomas' controversial film "Placebo Love Story" and Kevin Matlo's debut feature film "Forbidden Playground."
Dan has since acted in a range of films and TV series, including "Life Undercover," "Gangster Ka," "Underworld Blood Wars," "Unlocked," "Crossing Lines," "American Monsters," "Dabing Street," and "The Alienist." He has also appeared in dozens of TV commercials, voice over narrations, and corporate TV documentaries.
In addition to his acting work, Dan is a talented voice artist, having done various narrations for films, documentaries, and commercials. He has also co-written three TV series still in development and is working on a few more in development.
Dan is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, and Prague, Czech Republic, and works throughout Europe, Canada, and the US.
