Dan was born in Basildon, England, and later trained at the Guildford School of Acting, where he won the prestigious MA Acting Prize.
Following his training, Dan established himself as a versatile performer, working across both stage and screen. His extensive theatrical credits include a wide range of productions, from regional tours to West End shows.
Notably, Dan has appeared in several acclaimed productions, including the one-man play "When The Eye Has Gone", Caryl Churchill's "Bad Nights and Odd Days", and the national touring productions of "The Height of the Storm" and "Clybourne Park". He has also worked on the Olivier award-winning stage adaptation of "Oliver Twist", written by Adam Peck.
In addition to his stage work, Dan has also made a name for himself in television and film. His screen credits include appearances in "EastEnders" (BBC),"Small Town Politics" (Sky),and the films "Headlights", "Essex Girls", and "The Quiet".
As a theatre maker, Dan has a strong background in developing and devising new work, particularly as a physical performer. He is also a writer, and his work has been funded by the Arts Council. His writing credits include the project "Tomorrow the Fox" and the solo play "Rank".
Furthermore, Dan is a musician and published songwriter. Working primarily as a drummer, he has written and recorded with various artists, including the release of two studio albums with The Cheaterslicks and the 2022 release "Last Elevator to Spaceville" with The Kings of Outer Space.
