Noted Filipino-American martial arts practitioner, renowned for his extensive knowledge and proficiency in various disciplines, including Asian, American, and Brazilian martial arts. His impressive repertoire of skills encompasses multiple belts in diverse styles, such as Muay Thai, Pentjak Silat, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Throughout his illustrious career, Inosanto has demonstrated his expertise in the realm of weaponry, showcasing his prowess in a variety of film appearances. One of his most notable roles was in the 1978 film Game of Death, where he engaged in a memorable fight sequence with the legendary martial artist and actor Bruce Lee.
Inosanto's filmography also includes a grisly "manicure" scene in Sharky's Machine (1981),where he inflicted a gruesome injury on detective Burt Reynolds before meeting his demise. Additionally, he appeared in the John Carpenter-directed fantasy-martial arts adventure Big Trouble in Little China (1986) and clashed pool cues with Steven Seagal in the violent Out for Justice (1991).
Today, Inosanto continues to share his knowledge and expertise with a new generation of martial artists through his martial arts school, The Inosanto Academy, located in Marina Del Rey, California.
