Dan Palmquist, a notable figure in the world of film, began his journey in the drama department at the University of Kansas, situated in the charming city of Lawrence, Kansas. It was during his time at the university that he made his way to Centron Films, also based in Lawrence, where he landed the roles of George Johnson and Bill Johnson in two significant films: "Speech: The Function of Gestures" and "A Day of Thanksgiving". As the years progressed, Dan's talents and dedication earned him the esteemed position of head of the Centron editing department by 1955.
In addition to his editing duties, Dan also demonstrated his skill behind the camera, directing a multitude of science and safety films for the company. His work with Centron spanned several decades, until his untimely departure due to a heart attack in the early 1980s.
