In addition to his professional achievements, Dan's personal life is marked by a long-standing and loving marriage to Carol Commisso, whom he had the pleasure of exchanging vows with on April 7, 1990. This union has been blessed with the arrival of two children, whom they cherish and nurture with great love and devotion.
Redican's professional odyssey commenced as a skilled puppeteer, entertaining crowds at joyous birthday celebrations and sacred church gatherings alongside various collaborators, before joining forces with Tom Vandenburg to co-present a pair of family-friendly shows at the esteemed Toronto Centre for the Arts, located on the iconic Dupont street, showcasing the captivating productions "The Old Fisherman" and "A Day At Rotten Cheese Gulch".
He subsequently redirected his focus towards solo performances in the vibrant city of London, Ontario, taking the stage at the renowned Smale's Pace (later rebranded as the Change of Pace),where his talents mesmerized audiences.
Redican's impressive career in television puppetry began with his portrayal of Conrad Crepidula on CHCH's popular program, Adventures of Snelgrove Snail, leaving a lasting impression on the medium.
However, it was in the late 1970s that Redican's talents were truly showcased as a founding member of the Frantics, a renowned comedy troupe that brought laughter and joy to audiences everywhere.
Although Redican's focus shifted towards comedy during this period, he made a brief return to his puppetry roots in the late 1980s, featuring as both an actor and puppeteer on NBC's The Jim Henson Hour, a production of the illustrious Jim Henson Company, further solidifying his status as a versatile and accomplished performer.
During the 1990s, Redican embarked on a new creative journey, revisiting his passion for puppetry and introducing the endearing character of Hegdish to the audience of YTV's "Groundling Marsh", a notable television program.
