Dan Willmott, a renowned international award-winning actor, voice talent, and coach, is the founder, inspiration, and designer of VoiceSpot and Willmott Communication Services.
For over three decades, Dan has been coaching and teaching esteemed professionals, including broadcasters, actors, voice artists, and corporate leaders across Canada and the United States, empowering them to be themselves, be real, and be extraordinary.
Dan's impressive repertoire includes voicing commercials for prominent brands such as The Real Canadian Superstore, Dairy Farmers of Canada, Smuckers, Enercare, Subaru, Volkswagen, Fox, Cedar Sinai Medical Center Los Angeles, Smarter than a 5th Grader, CMT, MTV, CTV, CBC, and many others.
In recent years, Dan has been actively involved in the film and television industry, with notable roles including Buck Olander in FARGO Season 3, Jerry in Private Eyes, Candace Cameron's Dad 'Gary' in A Shoe Addicts Christmas, and appearances in the DC Comics film Shazam, Netflix series Umbrella Academy, Impulse, Supernatural, Smallville, Murdoch Mysteries, General Hospital, Let It Snow, and Mean Girls, where he played the iconic role of Mr. George.
Dan's theatrical credits include the critically acclaimed role of Robert in "Proof" (Theatre UnBlocked),which received a heartwarming review, and the highly entertaining "Hogtown" in the summer of 2017, for which he was nominated for a DORA Award for "Best Ensemble Cast" as Bob Delacourt.
In Spring 2019, Dan will take on the role of 'Ned' in George F. Walker's acclaimed "And So It Goes," directed by George F. Walker.
As a participating member of TAP (The Actors Place),TAPFest Film Festival, and VAP (Voice Actors Place),Dan is committed to honing his craft and sharing his expertise with fellow professionals.
