Daniel D'Or is a renowned producer and co-creator of the 66-episode TV series Starhunter (2000). With an impressive track record of establishing long-term, profitable media companies in North America, he is recognized for producing high-quality feature films and television series for global markets.
As the founder of Ryan Helicopters, a helicopter company specializing in aerial cinematography, and St. Lucia Helicopters, D'Or demonstrated his entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen. He also designed and implemented key interactive media technologies for Air Canada and Ontario Hydro, well ahead of their time.
D'Or co-founded Spaceworks Entertainment with his business partner, G. Philip Jackson, and has collaborated with him on numerous projects since 1993. Through their companies, PNA, Danforth Studios Ltd, and Greystone Studios Inc, they have produced over 18 feature films and three TV series, including the US syndicated series Starhunter (2000).
In addition to his producing credits, D'Or made his feature directing debut with the outer space drama Falling Fire (1998),which received a Gold Award for Directing at WorldFest Charleston. He also directed the UK segments of Starhunter.
D'Or's other notable producer credits include the cult favorite sci-fi feature Replikator (1994),the virtual reality adventure Carver's Gate (1996),and the action-adventure film Men of Means (1998). He has produced many more commercially and critically successful sci-fi titles.
Currently, D'Or is President of Spaceworks and is engaged in the upcoming production of the TV series "Year Zero" and two new features in co-production with Pacific Rim partners.
