Daniel Genalo is a multifaceted individual with a diverse range of talents and skills. Born and raised in the Midwest, he is the son of an engineering professor father and a mother who is a researcher in the fields of social and psychological sciences. From a young age, Daniel demonstrated a natural inclination towards creativity, showcasing his artistic abilities through drawing, writing, and poetry.
As he progressed through high school, Daniel explored various creative fields, including architecture, screenwriting, and fashion design. His curiosity and enthusiasm led him to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design at Arizona State University. This academic path allowed him to develop his problem-solving skills, which would later prove to be valuable in a wide range of disciplines.
After graduating, Daniel relocated to New York City, where he began his professional career as an Accessories Designer in the soft goods and luggage industry. Concurrently, he continued to nurture his passion for dance, taking on roles as an instructor, performer, and competition judge in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
Daniel's remarkable talent in dance was recognized when he won a prestigious competition in the "House Dance" category, marking a significant turning point in his career. Subsequently, he worked as a dance instructor, performer, and competition judge, solidifying his reputation as a skilled dancer.
In addition to his dance pursuits, Daniel was approached by an innovative talent agency, Ugly NY, to work as a model. His first bookings were for notable clients such as Nike and David's Bridal, featuring a shoot with renowned photographer Nigel Barker. Since then, Daniel has focused on honing his skills in acting, dance, and modeling, starring in several films that premiered in the 2009 festival circuit, performing on the Emmy-winning comedy 30 Rock alongside Alec Baldwin, and gracing the cover of Time Out NY.
Today, Daniel continues to perform and resides in New York City, where he remains dedicated to his craft and inspired by the city's vibrant arts scene.
