Daniel Kraus has achieved numerous accolades in the literary world, with his book "The Death and Life of Zebulon Finch" being listed as one of Entertainment Weekly's Top 10 Books of 2015.
Awards and recognition include winning two Odyssey Awards, for both "Rotters" and "Scowler", as well as being a Library Guild selection, YALSA Best Fiction for Young Adults, Parent's Choice Gold Award winner, and a Bram Stoker finalist.
In addition to his literary accomplishments, Kraus has also collaborated with filmmaker Guillermo del Toro on several projects. He co-authored the novel "Trollhunters" with del Toro, which was later adapted into a successful Netflix series.
Furthermore, Kraus is also the co-creator of the story behind del Toro's 2017 film "The Shape of Water", a critically acclaimed romantic fantasy film.
As a filmmaker in his own right, Kraus has directed feature films such as "Musician" (2007 New York Times Critics' Pick) and "Sheriff" (2006 season premiere of PBS's Independent Lens).
